To help you out making a decision, we created a Dragon Age The Veilguard tier list ranking all classes based on their stats.
Without any further ado, let’s get started:
Dragon Age The Veilguard Class Tier List (2025)
S-Tier Class
Warrior
This is the most powerful class due to its ability to switch from swords and shield combat to two-handed weapons combat. When combined with rage you can become an unbeatable force.
Warrior: Focuses on melee combat and durability and has three different specializations to choose from: the Reaper, the Slayer, and the Champion. These can be unlocked when you reach level 20
Reaper: Steal health from enemies to restore yourself. It allows you to swap between a one-hand weapon and shield and a two-hander. The Reaper also focuses on Necrotic damage, Reaper is one of the best specializations in the game.
Slayer: Two-handed weapons and high damage impacts. He is incredibly powerful and focuses on debuffing enemies. If you are looking to hit your enemies hard, the Slayer is the best bet.
Champion: The champion is best at using a one-hand weapon and a shield. It is also very strong but lacks a bit of damage. Its unique skills focus on creating combinations with your companions.
A-Tier Classes
Mage
Not as powerful as the Warrior but has awesome damaging abilities. However, is weak in certain areas and that is when being attacked. However, can regenerate outside the battle. The Mage relies on elements, so knowing the weaknesses of the enemy is the key to success.
Players can perform combos with the spell-casting companions, to create power and effects. The Orb and Dagger combo will be helpful when the mana runs out as it will keep you safe. All in all a powerful class to use when mastered.
Death Caller: Is a Necromancer with life drain abilities. It can also access Channeled Thoughts, enabling quick Mana regeneration.
Evoker: An Ice mage who freezes enemies but mostly relies on casting spells and crowd control. But is often overshadowed by Death Caller.
Spellblade: This is a Melee wizard and its Arcane Bomb mechanic deals huge damage to the enemy. It can easily handle hordes of enemies and recover mana by an attack
Rogue
The rogue class is not as strong as the Warrior but focuses more on speed and evasion. Though it does not have high-damage spellcasting it manages to find a balance between ranged and melee attacks.
Its quick and powerful attacks are based on dodge and parry skills. Once you master the skill you will be well rewarded.
Players can make perfect use of the Duelist, Veil Ranger, and Saboteur to hit hard at the enemy.
Duelist: Is an expert in close-quarters evasion and parrying and also deals melee damage. However, it can be overwhelmed by hordes of enemies.
Saboteur: An expert in laying traps and turrets around the battlefield. He is skill-reliant, so must learn to manage the momentum and cooldowns to make the best use of his skills.
Veil Ranger: The Arcane sniper is much focused on the bow and can deal immense ranged damage from a distance. But this can become quite harmful when faced with hordes of enemies in the endgame.
Rogue must concentrate on exploring the Duelist Specialization. The Rogue can undoubtedly hold its own in a battle.
However, looking at all the classes we find that the best class in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the Warrior.
